Frequently asked questions
New Day Weight Loss is a telehealth clinic providing personalized medical weight loss care under the supervision of an experienced Board Certified Nurse Practitioner to patients in Colorado and New Mexico.
The medical weight loss program at New Day Weight Loss is online, subscription-based, and designed to be simple and convenient.
Start by scheduling a free consultation to see if the program is a good fit for you. During your telehealth visit, Nurse Practitioner Katharine will review your health history, weight loss goals, and any previous treatments you’ve tried.
If you decide to move forward, you can enroll in the monthly membership. This includes your visits, medical supervision, and ongoing support. If medication is appropriate, Katharine will send your prescription to the pharmacy of your choice.
Once treatment begins, you’ll have ongoing access to Katharine through follow-up visits and secure portal messaging to review progress, answer questions, and make any adjustments to your treatment plan.
Unlike some telehealth clinics that might treat many different conditions, New Day Weight Loss focuses solely on medical weight loss. It's our speciality and we take pride in our knowledge and results. Additionally, many clinics use multiple providers with no incentive to get to know you, making the process feel impersonal and transactional. And if you need help between appointments, you'll often be sent to a support person instead of your provider. At New Day, when you make an appointment or have a question, you can be sure that it will be from your own dedicated provider who knows you and your weight loss goals and history, and is passionate about providing you personalized care that works.
We currently serve Colorado and New Mexico.
If you're having a medical emergency, dial 9-1-1.
Initial consultations and ongoing visits are entirely online and take place via a secure, private, and HIPAA-compliant telehealth video platform.
For patients who medically qualify, New Day Weight Loss may prescribe GLP-1 or GLP-1/GIP medications such as semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) or tirzepatide (Mounjaro®, Zepbound®).
These medications work by helping regulate appetite and blood sugar. They signal to the brain that you’re full, reduce hunger, and slow how quickly food leaves the stomach, which helps many people feel satisfied with smaller portions and for longer periods of time.
These medications are typically administered as a once-weekly injection.
As with any medication, side effects are possible. The most common may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or abdominal discomfort. These effects are usually mild and often improve as your body adjusts to the medication.
During treatment, Katharine works closely with patients to monitor progress, manage side effects if they occur, and adjust treatment when appropriate.
Once you reach your goal weight you may stop the medications, but some patients choose to continue at a lower dosage and frequency to maintain appetite suppression.
